Kendon's Stand-Up™ Motorcycle Lift Very Versatile Tool

by Ichabod Yohassen
10.26.2005 Motorcycle lifts, until now, have been somewhat expensive and required
an air compressor for operation. Kendon's "Stand-Up” ™ motorcycle lift requires no compressor,
having instead a hydraulic jack to cause the lift to be raised. Actually, it's man-powered, someone must
operate the jack. This means the Kendon Lift can be transported to the race track, or the salt flats
or virtually anywhere a lift is needed to perform maintenance or modifications to your motorcycle. It’s
absolutely convenient for serious racers.
Mickey
Goodin, a Bonneville competitor provides this testimonial: "We were using one of the big steel standard
lifts out there (Bonneville), and just loading and unloading was almost life and limb threatening. The
lift took up a lot of space in the trailer and depended on an air compressor. It was pretty much a big
pain. When I saw the Kendon Lift I knew right away this was a racer’s dream. Not only the fact
that it folds and stands up in my trailer. It takes no more space than a step ladder. I can move it around
by myself and not risk any injury in the process. ALL the other features of the lift seemed to be tailored
for us racers. The ease of loading and unloading the bike on the lift and the four tie-down points makes
the bike very secure for whatever you have to throw at it in the heat of battle. The frame jack accessory
you designed is a work of art. We must change gearing all the time and remove the wheels everyday, and
this is where the drop-off section at the rear of the lift shines. Just a few turns on the jack, pull
the pins and presto the tire is off. At the same time, we must change the oil every few runs or every
run when we use fuel. Draining the oil used to be a pain, but no more. I just slip the oil drain pan
into place and the oil is drained off into oil waste tank. The stainless steel side trays hold all the
tools we need to maintain this beast out on the salt. The lift has done everything I have asked it to
do and more. My hat is off to Kendon for such a great product that has made me and my crew’s life
much easier. "
Many
dealerships use the Kendon lift to display new motorcycles for sale. It is easy to put one bike on a
lift, raise it up off the floor, and flank it with two other bikes. In effect, it allows the displaying
of 2 bikes in the space normally required for 1. This also raises the bike on the lift much closer to
eye level giving the customer a much better look at the product. The Kendon Stand-Up™ lift has
the same stable foot-print as the big lifts. it just doesn't take up space when it's not being used.
Dealership service departments are finding that the Kendon lift is a perfect "Emergency" lift
for when all the existing lifts are occupied.
If you're in the market for a convenient, portable, high-quality motorcycle lift that doesn't cost
an arm and a leg, see your local Kendon dealer, and ask them to get you a lift. This is the perfect gift
for the motorcycle rider who has everything else. At $599.95 how can you go wrong?
